How To Make A Web Page Have you ever sat down at your computer and wondered how web pages are made? Web pages appear as though they would be hard to make, but they are actually quick and simple to build. There are two basic ways to build a web page. One way is through a program that can be downloaded, called CuteHTML. CuteHTML can be downloaded from download.com, or 32bit.com. The program itself is built out of HTML, or Hyper Text Makeup Language. After the program is downloaded, the first thing to do is register a domain name such as youremailaddress.50megs.com. The next step to is to come up with an idea of what is going to be on the web page. Once the CuteHTML program is opened there is a list of HTML codes that need to be memorized in order to create the sight. For example, some text may need centered at the top of the page. The HTML code, *align center*(text)*align center*, will need to be typed in order for it to be placed in the position wanted. Pictures are very common on web pages, and can very easily be added. A scanner will be needed if using photographs instead of computer generated images. However, a simple page can be made much better by either buying or downloading graphics programs such as Banner Maker Pro or Adobe Photoshop. They do not take up much space on the hard drive so it is worth it to download them instead of buying them. These programs are used to create graphics from scratch. The user can choose to make a graphic whatever size, color, or shape that is wanted. Flashing, or animated images, also gather attention. Previously made images can be turned into animated images by entering codes from the new programs around the graphic on the web page. Scrolling text across the page often makes it more intriguing. This can be achieved by downloading a ?Java Script? program and learning the codes for it and how to incorporate them with the web page. The key to making a good page great is organization. After putting in all the text, pictures and codes, the next step is to arrange them in a professional looking manner so it doesn't appear that the page was ma de by an amateur. The second way to create a web page is to purchase a program such as Net Objects Fusion 5.0. Net Objects is mainly used by professional web page design companies, due to its high cost. After installing and opening Net Objects, go to the ?create a new web site page.? Programs such as Net Fusion are often more restrictive than building a sight from HTML codes only. It has pre-selected places on the new sight where text and pictures may be put in. With this program, the user doesn't have to learn the actual HTML language. All the user has to do is open a picture file on the computer and put it in one of the pre-selected areas. However, Net Objects does make the web page look more professional than building a sight out of HTML codes. Web Page building is one of the most sought after jobs in the computer field. It may first appear hard when trying to learn how to construct a sight, but after a little practice it is very easy. With the right programs a basic web page can be made in about two hours. Now all that is left is to publish the page by clicking the ?publish button.? This will allow other Internet users to look at the page that you have worked so hard on. Before this unit, I would not have known that this quote came from one of Shakespeares plays. I would even not have understood what it meant, nor how it could set the tone for all of the tragic events that would occur to the characters in his play. Although I first read this work in middle school, I feel that I have read a completely new story reading it years later. This time around, the play as about the reasons the characters behaved the way they did, emotions, and sex, In middle school, the only thing I understood about my constantly-changing emotions was that I didnt understand them. I knew what it was like to impulsively manipulate things to work out for me, but it never came close to the depth and care that Iago took in his master plan. Iago thought far ahead in order for his deceptions to come to pass. He patiently waited for everything to unfold the way that it did. Although his antics irked me the entire play, at the end I could not help but feel omething I hadnt expected. The first time, I mindlessly hated him and was prepared to hate him again. However, instead I was able to step back and see how he masterfully put all of the mismatched pieces of the puzzle together. And this time, I felt admiration for his work. On Thursday, my group tried to focus on the reasoning behind why the characters acted the way they did. For me, it was the first time that I really began to understand Iago and his affect on the other characters. The magic of Iagos persuasiveness lay in his words and reputation. He was commonly referred to as honest Iago and never forgets to remind the one he is trying to deceive that he loves them at crucial moments throughout the story (1202, 1225). How can one who hates those he surrounds himself with hold such a reputation among them? Personally, I believe he didnt always hate them. Love and Jealousy are some of the most common causes of erratic and impulsive behavior. I believe that Iago did enjoy the others, but he is first and foremost a narcissist and advocate for himself. He wants things to go his way nd needs the attention to be upon him. When Othello became happily married and Cassio was promoted, it leaves Iago without the attention he craves. In consequence of this, he feels that he must manipulate the situation in order to get the control back. Now that I have gotten older, I understand how it feels when another is promoted over you, and how it feels when someone is too content in their love life to pay any mind to your friendship. I also understand what it feels like when I believe that a lover prefers the company of another. These experiences cause me to understand Iago more than I had ever before. Iago was a simple case of a man who needed to be alpha male and the only way that was possible was to take out the other characters in the play. However, it is better to be content and not let your mind or emotions control your deeds. Although Iago is the most interesting and multi-dimensional character, I learned in class that it is important to also question why the other characters never flawless, Shakespeare twisted their lives around in fates that we, as readers, feel that hey do not deserve. Throughout the story I wondered if he related more to Othello or Iago. My group-member RJ believed that he related more to othello. Although Othello was honest and passionate, he was manipulated by his trusted and beloved assistant, and it led to his undoing. Shakespeare was surrounded by those in the theatre world. Perhaps he felt that his fate was more controlled by those around him, and that they also pretended to care about him. However, like Othello, they were simultaneously trying to make sure that he wasnt successful in his life. On the other hand, I believe he related more to Iago, who was a mastermind and loved to control things. As a playwright/director, one must love to make things happen that should never occur and change the fates of others. It was his way of controlling the world without the whole messy death and Jail time part. Another thing that I did not understand before now were the allusions to sex. When Iago and Roderigo are outside of Brabantios house, Iago puts out a vivid picture to Desdemonas father. He explains that an old black ram/ is tupping your hite ewe and that Desdemona is making a beast with two backs (1189-90). This reading is the first time that I have ever laughed throughout one of Shakespeares plays. Perhaps the next time I read Othello, I will understand the scene with the clown on the musician (1220). Othello is a story of passion and of emotion so raw that it completely runs the characters lives. Iago was fueled by what he felt to be injustice and Jealousy, Desdemona was fueled by love and the need to please her husband, Othello by jealousy so much so that he could not think straight, and Cassio was fueled by his eed for reputation and the shame he felt. Had any one of these character ignored what their heart was telling them and instead listened to reason, the story and outcome would have been completely different. However, we are human and emotions twist us and make us who we are. So, although this story is a love story, lets remember it for what it was: a tragedy of too much heart, but not enough thought. In addition, as recently argued by Zellweger(2007), the extended time horizon that characterizes family firms reduces the marginal risk of an investment and therefore the corresponding risk-equivalent cost of equity capital (McNulty,Yeh,schulze and Lubatkin,2002). Consequently, family owned firms can seize investment opportunities their non-family competitors do not consider as sufficiently attractive or consider too risky;such a situation offers family owned firms the possibility of developing their activities unhindered by aggressive competitors and of conquering markets that competitors cannot enter(Zellweger,2007,p-9) Moreover, families may bring with them significant financial and physical resources,called survivability capital(Simon and Hitt,2003),which can be used to sustain the business during economic hardship or after unsuccessful strategic movies (Dyer,2006). RCDCs main competitor is Bletcheys fast clean plc which operstes approximately in the same geographical area .The Bletcheys can even take advantage of the internal problems faced by RCDC to take greater market share.as compared to RCDC, the marketing strategies and pricing policies of Bletcheys.are better and their success rate is also quite high which is why many of the RCDC employees have joined Bletchey and they have been able to pull many of the customers along with them. 2) Seasonal work : Usually people consider dry cleaning for woollen and expensive clothes so the sales tend to be higher in winter and autumn where as summer is marked with reduced sales as the clothes are machine washable. 3) Increasing nmber of supermarkets Another threat posing the traditional neighbourhood dry cleaning business is the increasing number of supermarkets having the dry cleaning stores.Most of the pople nowa-a-days find it convenient to shop from these supermarkets where they get their clothes also drycleaned.This can eventually lead to complete extinction of the traditional drycleaning. 4)Legal issues: Court cases filed against RCDC by its employees is another threat to the smooth functioning of the business.Firstly it can spoil the image of the company by reducing the sales and secondly it does not allow the management to concentrate completely on their business as most of their time goes in finding new ways to deal with these problems. Organisational Issues: 1)Due to the heavy drop in sales over the last few months ,the directors are considering centralisation of operations at Leicestershire site leading the company to substantial savings in staff costs and providing it with the opportunity to dispose of surplus machinery.However due to the conflict between the owners the idea of centralisation does not seem to work out.If any decision is not taken in the near future, the profitability of the company will keep going down and finally the owners may have to close don the company. 2)The present 24 branches operated by RCDC are not at all enough as far as the idea of centralisation is concerned.RCDCs main target is to increase the sales and for doing this they have to attract more and more customers which can only happen if they provide better and quik services to their customers as compared to the competitors.so,the geographical coverage is very important for the growth of the business. 3)The problem of moving goods from the retail outlets to the plant and then back to the outlets and customers is another issue which needs to be addressed.Making goods and services available to the customers on time is the biggest challenge for all the organisations as it is one of the ways of building healthy relationship with customers and making them loyal to the company. c)Sales and marketing Issues: Marketing Planning: Marketing Planning can be defined as the application of marketing resources to achieve marketing objectives(P-16,marketing plans that work) In simple words marketing planning is a series of activities and the formulation of plans for achieving them.Companies generally go through a management process in developing marketing plans .In small ,undiversified companies this process is usually informal and same is the case with RCDC.RCDC needs a much more systematized marketing plan to target more customers. Constructing a marketing plan is the most difficult task for RCDC as the owners do not agree to each other and they all have different expectations and goals altogether. 2)Decling Sales: The sales of RCDC are decling rigorously and the company is not taking any serious action regarding this issue .The company needs to conduct a marketing audit which is usually conducted by organisations in situation of decling sales ,falling margins,lost market share etc.Marketing audit is a means of defining problems precisely so that each problem can be addressed and eradicated. 3)Undiversification: According to the case ,Yorks want to diversify their business and move into related ares such as Shoe repairs,film processing.key cutting and contract cleaning which is actually a good idea to increase the overall profitability and can help RCDC to overcome the bad phase of reduced sales .Hoever the disagreement from lancasters is not allowing this idea to be turned into reality. 4)Sales Promotion: d)Personnel and industrial relations: 1) Training and development: Absence of training of and development is one of the biggest problems in RCDC. As per the case training and development programmes are considered to be an expense to the company and the employees are expected to pick up work as they go.Training and development can provide RCDC with the much needed competitive edge by improving the performance of the workers and the organisation as a whole. If this practice continues RCDC will completely fail in attracting employees to work for it ,as there are no growth opportunities for employees. 2)employee relations: As per the case ,there is a lot of friction between the employees and the management which is one of the many reasons for RCDCs high staff turn over.The management needs to value its employees and show concern to their problems as the employees are the building blocks of any organisation.In order to achieve longterm goals and future success RCDC must improve its relations with its employees. 3) Health and safety: The workers at RCDC are prone to accidents as there are no health and safety measures .The management is only concerned about increasing the profits without a proper planning and concern about the people who can actually help RCDC achieve it. 4) Job dissatisfaction: The high employee turnover makes it quite evident that the employees are not at all satisfied with their job at RCDC. There can be various reasons for it e.d: No growth opportunities. Risk factor No concern for employees well being from the management. Work stress. Competitors etc. 5)Orientation : Orientation programmes are must for every organisation as it helps new employees to get aware of the work practices and the expectations of the organisation.These orientation programmes are completely missing in RCDC and it effects the perception of employees. 6)legal issues: RCDC is dealing with court cases which is not a good sign for the growth of any business as it affects the brand image. 7)Internal conflicts: Another serious issue is the conflict between the owners which has created a sort of deadlock in the company as no plans are put into action.These internal problems have already affected and can futher affect the goodwill of the company. Accounting and Finance: The present and potential problems faced by RCDC in accounting and finance are as follows: 1) Payment of dividends: One of the main problems in RCDC is the poor dividend payment plan.Every organisation has a responsibility towards its stakeholders and if an organisation does not fullfill the expections of its shareholders,it has to bear the consequences such as internal conflicts,loss of credibility,reduced sales etc.which is exactly the case with RCDC.Therefore, RCDC has to improve the standard of paying dividends to its shareholders and for doing so ,it has to manage its financial resources in a proper and planned way and keep maximising the shareholders wealth. If you are concerned that your children will visit web pages you prefer that they don't, then you can put parental guards on that don't allow them to visit those web pages. If you aren't familiar with web pages, they are basically ads that you look at containing information about the company, person, or product. Also you can sign your child on as a child or teen which keeps them out of restricted areas. Perhaps your main concern is people finding out things that you don't want them to. They only know as much as you tell them. If they ask for your password, credit card number, or any other personal info, you don't have to tell them that information. When you first sign on AOL staff will ask for things like name, age, address, phone number, and your credit card or checking account number. These things remain confidential and are used only for billing purposes. If anyone ask for personal information you can easily report them to AOL. When someone is reported they are either warned or kicked off the Internet. You can also report people that swear or use any kind of offensive words. Many of the chat rooms are guarded by "online hosts" or people that belong to AOL. These "guards" make sure nothing bad happens in chat rooms. You can be sure that there are AOL staff in the romance rooms, especially, because that is where the most foul and vulgar language takes place. If you are too young to be in the room, they will tell you to leave and go to a room where people your age belong. Schema Theory

A schema describes an organized pattern of thought or behavior. Scripts are schemas which provide information about a sequence of events. Self-schemas organize information we have about ourselves, such as our strengths and weaknesses. The last is the social schema, which represents information about groups of people, and this is how stereotypes are also developed. Bartlett (1932) wanted to look at the effect that schemas have on memory. He had his participants read â€Å"The War of the Ghosts†. the 1st participant read the original story, and then wrote it on paper.Then a 2nd participant, reads whats been written by the 1st participant. Then the 2nd reproduces it on paper for the 3rd participant and so on. In repeated reproduction, the same participant reproduces the story 6 or 7 times. Bartlett found that as the reproductions went on, the stories became shorter and that certain details had been left out or changed. These changes were in an effort to make the story more compre hend-able from within the participants experiences and cultural backgrounds. For example the word canoes became boats, and hunting seals became fishing. Your brain also fills in blanks based on ones existing schemas.Your memory is processed into three main stages; which are encoding, storage, and retrieval. Encoding is when u put the memory into your mind. Storage is maintaining it in your mind. Retrieval is using what you saved in your mind. Cohen (1993) criticized schema theory, saying that the concept of schemas is too vague to be useful. However, many researchers use schema theory to explain cognitive processing. Anderson and Pichert did an experiment to investigate if schema processing influences both encoding and retrieval. The results showed schema processing influenced both.

They killed hundred persons, and the uprising was ended. On March 9, 1796 Napoleon married Josephine de Beauharnais, a widow of a French Nobleman, with whom she had two children. Two days after his marriage Napoleon, at the age of 26, left for Italy to lead a French army and won a series of victories over Austrian and Italian armies. By now France controlled most of Italy. He proved himself to be a brilliant soldier who could inspire his troops with his own enthusiasm and make them willing to die for him. Capillaries, which are deep-seated in tissues, have thin walls to allow supplies delivered by arterial blood to diffuse to the surrounding tissues, and at the same time, to permit cellular wastes to dissolve into the blood that will subsequently go through the veins. Once in the veins, the blood is now deoxygenated. The veins lead to the kidneys and lungs where wastes and carbon dioxide are released, respectively. Upon entering the lungs, the blood is again infused with oxygen to be delivered to the systemic tissues of the body. Because of their function, arteries are thickened and more muscular than veins and capillaries. The thick muscles allow them to absorb a lot of tensile stress the pressure from the oxygenated blood pumped by the heart brings. When the heart contracts (systole) and blood flows through the arteries, the narrow openings of the artery into the arterioles leading to the capillaries temporarily traps blood inside the vessels, applying pressure onto the arterial walls. When the heart relaxes, the elastic arterial walls relax back to their initial diameter, pushing the blood into the arterioles (diastole).
